Session 1: Upcoming Web Trends You Need to Know 

Say goodbye to the days of static website design. Using examples from schools like yours as well as current research, we’ll highlight web trends such as personalisation of content by user, curated social media, the growth of SEO and PPC as key to school marketing, more option for mobile-friendly content, inbound marketing and much more.


Session 2: School Spotlight

A local school will share their recent website redesign project with lessons learned and tips for other schools. Time for Q and A is provided.

Session 3: Best Practices and Strategies for Engaging Current Parents and Others

Successful websites are more than design. Learn how website content, information architecture, email best practices, and more can make it easier for parents to get the information they need while helping the school with its goals. Share what’s worked for your school and take home a few more tips that can help no matter what website platform you use.

Session 4: What Makes You Special?

An update to the ever-popular 7-second test session, this interactive discussion will help you tie your online content and overall design to your school’s unique marketing/brand. We’ll ask for volunteers for our group brainstorming as well.

How long does the workshop run?

Web Strategy Workshops typically run from 9.30am-3pm — making it easy for you to get the day off from work.

Who is invited?

We encourage Finalsite clients and non-clients to join us for this professional development experience, as all sessions are geared towards industry best practices. Professionals working in marketing, communications, and admissions typically benefit most from this workshop.

Will there be food?

During the workshop, we'll provide a light breakfast, coffee throughout the day, and a delicious lunch. As for allergies, no worries!
